Double European Rugby Champions three-time Aviva Premiership Rugby Champions, Saracens, have announced a new commercial structure to their business that will see the formation of a Joint Venture with Premier Team Promotions which will take on responsibility for all commercial aspects of the club.
Premier Team Promotions (PTP), led by chairperson Lucy Wray, have recently taken on former European Tour and Ryder Cup Head of Marketing Tim Hunt as their Group CEO and the new Joint Venture with Saracens adds to a portfolio of businesses in the group that includes MBN Events, The UK Investor Show and the Esports Awards.

Commenting on the Joint Venture with PTP, Saracens’ Chairman, Nigel Wray, said, “Premier Team Promotions has become an extremely successful company with an entrepreneurial drive and commercial focus across the whole team that I know will benefit Saracens as we seek to build upon our commercial success. Integrating the team at PTP into the senior management of the club and working with them to deliver the same excellence and professionalism off the pitch as our team demonstrates on it is a hugely exciting development for Saracens.”

Premier Team Promotions’ remit will include:

Responsibility for all Commercial staff and revenue generation in key areas:

  • Partnership / Sponsorship (working with South African rugby legend Francois Pienaar’s agency, ASEM)
  • Hospitality
  • Ticketing
  • Merchandise
  • Alllianz Park Events

Mitesh Velani will take on the role of Saracens CEO on a permanent basis and will oversee all other aspects of the club, including rugby operations.
